Privacy notice

Scope of this notice

This notice applies to the private Amazon Ads API integration operated by Apex Academic Resources for its own advertising accounts. The integration is an internal business tool; it is not offered, licensed, or made available to other advertisers.

Apex Academic Resources is a registered business name of 1001275840 Ontario Corporation. In this notice, “Apex,” “we,” and “our” refer to that corporation.

Information the integration accesses

After an authorized Amazon user grants access, the integration may receive Amazon Ads account and profile identifiers, marketplace information, and campaign data such as campaign and ad-group settings, targets, keywords, advertised products, creatives, placements, budgets, bids, delivery states, and advertising performance reports.

Apex may combine that information with its own book metadata, publishing dates, prices, royalties, and internal advertising objectives. The integration does not request or store an Amazon password.

How the information is used

We use the information only to operate Apex's own advertising program, including to:

  • reconcile advertising accounts, campaigns, and reports;
  • measure campaign delivery and performance;
  • develop, validate, and monitor advertising recommendations;
  • identify data-quality, authorization, and account-safety issues; and
  • manage or optimize Apex campaigns when a separately approved control permits it.

The present operator is configured for read-only calibration. Live campaign changes require a separate internal release decision and are not enabled by merely granting API access.

Disclosure and sale

We do not sell, rent, or license Amazon Ads information. We do not use it to provide advertising services to unrelated third parties. Limited technical information may be processed by service providers only when necessary to operate secured infrastructure, subject to access controls and applicable contractual obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Storage, security, and retention

Access is limited to authorized Apex personnel and systems. OAuth credentials are kept out of source code and public web pages, protected using operating-system credential encryption, and transmitted only over encrypted connections. The operator is designed to redact credentials from logs and to fail closed when authorization or reconciliation checks do not pass.

We retain advertising information only while it is needed for account operation, performance analysis, auditability, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or render it non-identifying where reasonably practical.

Authorization, access, and deletion

An authorized Amazon user can revoke the integration through Amazon's account or application-authorization controls. Revocation prevents future API access but does not automatically delete information already retained for the purposes described above.

To ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with this integration, contact us at support@apex-academic.com. We may need to verify the requester's authority over the relevant advertising account before acting.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice as the integration or applicable requirements change. The revision date below will identify the current version.
